White is “In”
For the past few months I have had a number of clients come to me asking to design clean, crisp, and simple designs. I have to admit after creating these designs I, myself, have fallen into the current trend of hosting a design that has a lot of white space – hence the design of THIS blog. I think the “white” clean designs really give all websites a more professional look.
Some tips to get that fresh, clean, crisp, WHITE look:
- Use less images and fancy vectors. Keeping it simple will require limiting images.
- Concentrate more on fonts and the font color. Your “clean” design will require less images so using your creativity with your fonts will help make your design simple yet unique.
- White should be the center of attention. Stick with a white background for the body and content. If you like go ahead and break up the monotony with a border between the content and the background.
So there you have it my new favorite color is white and was the inspiration for our new design.

Heather, I am loving this new design and yes I am working diligently myself on a little more white space. I know some of my sites and blogs have become overwhelming with detail.
It’s like the simple scrapbooking pages. White space will help you focus on the important things, the items you want the reader to focus on.
